LATRONICS offers a complete product line of
Glass-to-metal seals.

Featured are Matched Expansion Seals using Kovar, which join alloys and glass having similar thermal expansion characteristics. These seals are particularly suited for temperature cycle applications.

LATRONICS also produces Compression seals, and Specialty Combination Seals. Many catalog items are available for quick delivery. Other products are custom designed to solve unique sealing problems. Included are tubular lead seals, feedthrus, standoffs, multi-pin headers, window seals, and others.

Nickel, gold, tin and copper plating finishes are available. Seal installation maybe by soft solder, welding or brazing.

Leak Testing

Every ceramic-to-metal, glass-to-metal, and metal-to-metal assembly is checked for hermeticity. Assemblies are tested to 1 x 10-8 cc/he/sec with helium by a mass spectrometer leak detector. All equipment is state of the art and is calibrated at regular intervals to assure accuracy.
