.: Hermetic Seals
Hermetic Seals are leak tight combinations of engineered materials. Ceramics, Glasses and Metals can be joined through furnace brazing to produce components that insulate/channel electricity, seal out unwanted environments, feed through connections, and create strong reliable braze joints. LATRONICS is eager to use our 45+ years of experience to help industry with problem parts or costly components.
Ceramic-to-Metal
Metalized ceramic and metal components are joined in one of many brazing furnaces. Assembled in precise fixtures, the components are run through high-temperature furnaces and become a final assembly. At this point a strong, permanent hermetic bond is achieved.
Glass-to-Metal
LATRONICS offers a complete product line of Glass-to-metal seals.
Featured are Matched Expansion Seals using Kovar, which join alloys and glass having similar thermal expansion characteristics. These seals are particularly suited for temperature cycle applications.
Metal-to-Metal
Metal-to-Metal brazing is a process of attaching two or more industrial metal components with filler metals in continuous atmospheric conveyor belt furnaces or vacuum furnaces at temperatures above 450 C but below the melting point of the metals being joined.
